Connect your AI
Add Honeylead to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another AI app, then ask in plain English: which companies in my niche need a recruiter right now? You sign in to connect. There is no key to copy.
A Honeylead account, and an AI app that can add a connector. That is all. Honeylead's own hiring signals work straight away, with none of your other tools connected.
https://mcp.honeylead.io/mcp
/mcp or an extra slash at the end stops it working.Every AI app works the same way: add the address, a Honeylead window opens, you sign in, check the workspace name and press Allow. Pick your app below. These menus change often, so if a name looks different in your app, look for the nearest match.
If you are not an Owner you will see a Request button, not an Add button. Send your Owner this page.
claude mcp add --transport http honeylead https://mcp.honeylead.io/mcp
Then type /mcp, choose Honeylead and choose Authenticate. Your browser opens for the sign-in.
Be sure of your plan before you start. Adding a custom connector in ChatGPT is done by a workspace admin on Business, Enterprise or Edu. On Pro it can look things up but cannot make changes. We could not confirm that Free or Plus accounts can add one at all, and Honeylead is not published as a ChatGPT plugin yet. If that is you, use Claude for now.
codex mcp add honeylead --url https://mcp.honeylead.io/mcp codex mcp login honeylead
Open Settings, then Tools & MCP, then New MCP Server. That opens ~/.cursor/mcp.json. Add this, save, and press Login on the Honeylead row.

}
Open the Command Palette, run MCP: Add Server, choose HTTP, paste the address, name it honeylead, accept the trust prompt and sign in. Or add this to .vscode/mcp.json. Copilot needs agent mode, and your company may limit which servers are allowed.
{
"servers": {
"honeylead": { "type": "http", "url": "https://mcp.honeylead.io/mcp" }

Open the MCP config file and add this. Note the name of the setting is serverUrl, not url.

Add the same block as Windsurf to ~/.gemini/config/mcp_config.json. Then open Settings, Customizations and choose Authenticate. After you sign in you are shown a code: copy it, go back to Antigravity, paste it and press Submit. Missing that last step is the usual reason it looks like sign-in failed.
Add this to ~/.gemini/settings.json, then start the CLI and sign in when your browser opens.

goose session --with-streamable-http-extension "https://mcp.honeylead.io/mcp"
Open Settings, AI, MCP Servers, Add Server, Add Remote Server. Or add this to your Zed settings.
{ "context_servers": { "honeylead": { "url": "https://mcp.honeylead.io/mcp" } } }
Open grok.com/connectors, choose New Connector, then Custom, and paste the address. On a Grok business account an admin has to set it up first.
Add a remote MCP server with these settings. Transport: Streamable HTTP. Authentication: OAuth. Leave the token, key, header and client fields empty. If your app only offers a key field and no sign-in, see Developer access below.
Paste this into your AI app, with the app's name at the end:
Set up Honeylead by following https://honeylead.io/mcp.md for Claude
In a coding agent this does the setup. In a chat app it gives you the steps one at a time.
Open a new chat and paste this. It works with nothing else connected.
Use Honeylead to find companies that look like good new clients for me this week.
You get a short list of companies that look like they need a recruiter right now, with the reason for each. Then try: “Who owns the hiring problem at the first three? Draft a first message to each.”
Your AI gets 30 tools. The list is the same for everyone. Most look things up. The ones that change something say so.

Not in the chat. Each one has its own steps, a warning up front if it needs a certain plan or an admin, and a test before anything is saved.
Some tools cannot be connected yet, and Honeylead says why on each card: a few need their maker's approval first, a few have no way for another product to connect at all. We would rather show that than a button that does not work.
Removing Honeylead inside your AI app does not tell us. To cut an app off for certain, choose Remove access next to it in Honeylead under Connect your AI.
For scripts and for AI apps that cannot open a sign-in window, create an API key in Honeylead (Connect your AI, then Developer access). Keys look like hl_live_…, are shown once, and can be removed there.
Send the key in a request header. A key in the web address does not work and is rejected, because web addresses end up in logs and browser history.
